About Us
A Place to Grow in Love
- We’re a Christ-centered, family oriented congregation. We welcome newcomers and enjoy an engaging, somewhat informal, conversational approach to worship that’s easy to appreciate. Children participate in our story time; folks are welcome to share praises and concerns in our prayer time.
- Whether you live along the Hwy 285 Corridor or are visiting the area, we would be glad to have you to meet with us.
Children’s Ministries
- Yes! We provide Sabbath School for children of various ages. And, children are included and participate in our worship service.
- About once a quarter, we have a special “Children’s Church” for all.
Community Involvement
- See the “Community” page for our involvement with Adventist Community Services of Denver, and with the Park County Crisis Center.
Giving (finances)
- Our finances are capably handled by a Treasurer (Dan Hancock) and Co-Treasurer (Joyce Larson).
- Giving of both tithes and offerings is a strength at Aspen Park SDA Church. While there are always new needs and opportunities, our financial condition is sound.
- Keep in mind that all contributions marked “Tithe” are channeled through Rocky Mountain Conference. The great majority of these funds are returned to us in direct benefit, such as for the pastor’s salary, administrative services, and ministry support.
- We especially encourage members to note three local giving opportunities: the church budget, the building fund, and the Sabbath School mission offering.
- As much as possible, please use the tithe and offering envelope (available in the lobby) to indicate how you want your contributions to be allocated.
- Note that the Sabbath School mission offering is divided equally between the world-wide mission fund, and local community outreach needs.
- NEW - ONLINE GIVING: Adventist Giving provides you the opportunity for secure Internet based giving. Adventist Giving is secure, private and directly connects to our church treasurer. When you sign up and log on, you will see the same choices for giving that you see on our Tithe/Offering envelope, along with several funds specific to our congregation. Location
- See the “Home” page and the “Map” page for directions to our facility.
Membership & attendance
- We are a small church in a mountain setting. Our attendance typically ranges between 30 and 55.
- We have been growing, and have plans for building sometime in the future. Our first step is the need for rezoning our property—see the “Rezoning” page.
- Guests who are interested in joining the Aspen Park SDA Church are invited to speak with the pastor or with a Pastoral Team member about membership through baptism, Profession of Faith, or transfer.
Ministry & organization
- In response to the new realities of contemporary society, we have adopted an ongoing “Ministry Placement Process,” in which we seek to follow the Spirit of God in matching ministry roles with individual gifts and interests. The great majority of our congregation are involved in service of some kind in and through the church.
- We encourage members to seek God’s guidance for their own ministry avenues, and to talk with our designated leaders about ways in which they might serve.
- We are blessed with a slate of excellent speakers from the Front Range area, whom we use on a rotating basis to bless us with the Word of God.
- Our congregation is organized along the lines of a Pastoral Team (four members) and a Leadership Team (10 members including the Pastoral Team).
- Each January, we hold our annual Membership Meeting on a Sunday morning. And, we periodically invite all members to special training or planning sessions, usually held on a Saturday afternoon following a fellowship meal.

Small Groups
Social Ministries
- See the “Calendar” for special social events.
Worship
- In our worship we uphold a focus on the Scriptures, the Gospel, the Holy Spirit, prayer, and community.
- We have carefully chosen a “blended” worship approach that ministers effectively to those who prefer a somewhat contemporary style as well as to those who prefer a more traditional style.
- Our praise through singing is natural and simple, including well-known hymns along with widely appreciated songs that create an atmosphere of joy and reflection.
Youth & Young Adult Ministry
- Youth and young adults are welcomed and appreciated. Our informal, participatory atmosphere in Sabbath School and worship is appealing for young people.
- When indicated, we can provide a special Sabbath School fellowship time for youth or young adults.
